Programme profile


The Bachelor Degree in Hotel Management trains students for operational and administrative management positions. The programme combines cutting-edge management science with traditional know-how in hotel and restaurant management.

Course work is reinforced through immediate application of knowledge in practical settings

Programme content


Year 1
Theoretical courses are followed by weeks of professional experience in a variety of contexts, students can immediately apply what they’ve learned in management, marketing, human resources and professional culture. All students also study two foreign languages.

Year 2
In the classroom, new courses such as law and the tourism economics complete the academic curriculum for students. During practical application weeks, students begin their managerial work: they supervise 1st year students while being managed themselves by 3rd year students. Students can also apply to do their 2nd year abroad, in another Vatel School, in locations across the world.

Year 3
Students continue to acquire financial, legal, economic and linguistic skills required to manage a hotel. Using concrete case studies, they develop their analytical capacities and decision-making skills. In their professional experience, they manage second year students
